Happy Hungry Hippos offers pediatric feeding therapy by specialized occupational and speech therapists for individual or group sessions. We treat children from birth to 18 years old who have gastrointestinal disorders, need help transitioning from tube feeding, have oral-motor deficits, or have behavior problems related to feeding.
Your initial evaluation at Happy Hungry Hippos will include assessment of your child's
• oral-motor skills
• mealtime behaviors
• reaction to food type and textures
• sensory difficulties
• self-feeding skills, and positioning
Further treatment may include:
• development of individualized treatment
plans aligned with parents' goals
• caregiver education and training in
the Feeding Protocol
• sensorimotor therapy
• nutritional counseling/education
